MMC Hosts Video Production Workshop December 3rd, 2008
One weekend. One training seminar. One goal for ministry.
MMC Spanish Ministries delves deeper into church planting by equipping national workers with media training.
Over the weekend of November 14-16, Málaga Media Center (MMC) hosted a video training seminar for Spanish Christian TV producers and their assistants. The seminar was held in partnership with the association of Spanish Christian media professionals “Coordinadora Evangélica de Medios Audiovisuales,” (CEMA) whose members produce evangelical programs throughout Spain.
When CEMA asked Roland Walter, director of Spanish Ministries at MMC, to host this year’s seminar, he was glad for the opportunity help the Spanish Church improve their media skills to better share the gospel across Spain.
“At MMC, we come in to work with existing churches and ministries,” said Walter. “With these projects, we have to ask ourselves, ‘How does this help mature the church in Spain?’ Through the things students learn at these seminars, perhaps 120,000 people will see a better program that communicates our message of the gospel well.”
Although the staff serving at MMC put together their own television programs, their ultimate goal is to equip the local church with these skills so they are not dependent upon outside sources.
